We are currently seeking a Director of Revenue Cycle! The Director of Revenue Cycle will lead all facets of development, implementation, optimization and delivery of high-quality, cost-effective Revenue Cycle management. 

This position requires a thorough understanding of assisted living community billing, home care, hospice and SNF medical claims billing process, and specifically, knowledge of the coding and collection process. The role requires versatility as a key success factor with the ability to operate strategically at all levels within the organization as well as the ability to move between the strategic vision and the day-to-day tactical needs is a must.

The non-negotiables:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or management.
  • 7 years managing the revenue cycle of a healthcare organization.
  • 12 years of progressive industry experience.
  • Knowledge of receivables software, billing platforms, and EHR systems.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. 

What you'll be doing:

  • Financial
  • Ensure the operating effectiveness of the Revenue Cycle from the point of service capture through cash collections.
    • Monitor accounts receivable activity and initiate appropriate corrective measures as needed.
    • Oversees payment posting and reconciliation to bank statements.
    • Management of Monthly Adjustments and Bad Debt Assignments.
  • Technical
    • Oversees and provides input to ensure all systems are functional in categories such as dictionary file, data elements, interface and mapping, payer specificity, file transmission, billing software, fee schedules, etc.
    • Knowledge of federal and state regulations.
    • Knowledge of government and commercial payer regulations.
    • Knowledge of billing and collections protocols for assisted living communities, home care, hospice, and SNF billing.
    • Knowledge and handling of protected health information in a manner consistent with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
  • Operational
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business office as they relate to the Revenue Cycle ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
    • Develop and enhance key financial metrics required to analyze the overall effectiveness of the Revenue Cycle process.
    • Manages staff for timely credentialing.
    • Focus on continual process improvement, automation opportunities, and change management in various receivables and EHR systems. 
    • Ability to analyze, review and ensure automation of billing and collections processes.
