Responsible for inspecting, evaluating, and ensuring compliance with Telecom Construction and Engineering standards by contractors and internal crews. Inspector reports on daily activities and maintains records on outside plant installations done by construction firms under contract to the company. Acts as liaison between the company and outside plant contractors. Ensures safety compliance.

Essential Job Functions / Certifications:

• Evaluate designs and specifications for construction projects to ensure conformance with regulations.
• Inspect phases of a given project to ensure quality work performance from the contractor.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to ensure site safety is maintained.
• Keep records of work performed by contractors for purposes of billing and corporate filing.
• Recording/billing for damages incurred by subcontractors.
• Inspects and ensure quality of work conforms with Engineering, Silver Star, and RUS standards.
• Ability to identify potential hazards/pitfalls that could derail project and communicate concerns to supervisor and construction manager.
• Maintain effective face-to-face communication skills with a professional demeanor.
• Ensures accuracy and timely reporting of records (tabulations of footage, etc.).
• Maintains and reconciles all as-built records.
• Rejects products that fail to meet quality standards and report any defects or discrepancies to contractor and construction manager. Complete audits on materials consumed on projects. Functions as liaison between contractor and other parties (e.g., landowners, governmental entities, other contractors, etc.).
• Maintains daily record of all unusual circumstances in conjunction with project.
• Cross-department communication whether regulatory agency, external companies, or internal is crucial to ensure transparency, compliance, and a smooth inspection process.
• Comply with all policies and procedures as contained in the Employee Handbook and assigned department.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures as outlined by the approved company safety policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

Minimum Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma plus 2 years of experience.
• Ability to hold a valid Wyoming or Idaho Driver's License.
