Job Title: Medicine Technician

Department: Nursing

Position: Med Tech Full time/Part time Non-exempt

Position Summary:

To ensure that the residents receive their oral, topical, eye, nose, ear drop prescription medications, insulin injections and epinephrine injections according to the home’s policies and procedures. Assist with the care needs of the residents. Supervise the direct care staff. Assign assignments for the staff. Ensure that the home has proper staffing for the needs of the residents.

Education Qualifications:

High school diploma.

GED (General Education Diploma).

Active CNA license.

Have completed the medication administration training.

Essential Function:

Setting up, administering and documenting resident medications, treatments, and skin care. Helping assist the residents with their routines. Engage with the residents and their families. Other job duties as assigned. The hours are 10:30pm-7am.

Physical Demands:

Being able to stand, sit and walk for extended period of times. Assist residents with their ADL’s, ambulation and transfers. Be able to lift 50 lbs. Push and pull 50 lbs. Be able to bend over to assist with residents needs and to make beds.

Compensation:

The compensation for this position is based on experience. The range for this role will be discussed during the interview process, taking into consideration the candidate's relevant experience and qualifications.
