Volunteer Coordinator

Silver Hill Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Volunteer Coordinator to provide support for our team scheduling and coordinating volunteer activities on our hospital campus. Some specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Schedule and confirm volunteers for appropriate shifts each week using Timecounts, and find appropriate subs/coverage as needed
• Build monthly volunteer calendar based on volunteer availability
• Manage and record the onboarding steps for new volunteers in Smartsheet (scheduling orientation, PPD, interview with Molly Norton, policy signing, background check)
• Track volunteer immunization records
• Create surveys, spreadsheets, forms, and templates
• Field volunteer related emails and phone calls in a timely and courteous manner
• Ensure current volunteers are in hospital regulatory compliance
• Keep track of filled and open volunteer positions and suggest candidates as needed
• Assist in arranging interviews for volunteer candidates
• Communicate effectively with various hospital houses/units/staff regarding volunteer related matters
• Assist in volunteer orientation to the hospital
• Assist in the development and maintenance of a Volunteer Handbook

Requirements:

- Associate's degree (Bachelor's degree, preferred)

- Minimum of 1-3 years of office experience.

- Excellent people-management, interpersonal and customer service skills, and strong computer skills including the Microsoft Suite.
