This includes developing familiarity with applicable legislation, legal and ethical issues in healthcare risk management, patient rights, and serving as a resource within the organization to help mitigate risk. Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Illinois and a Bachelor’s in Science in a healthcare related field required (preferably nursing). A minimum of 2 years healthcare risk management experience, with a working knowledge of Joint Commission, preferred. A minimum of 5 years hospital experience in a clinical or administrative role, with specific patient safety, risk/quality management experience required. Must have strong organization and data management skills, including Microsoft word/excel/Outlook, spreadsheets and RL6 reporting. Cerner experience required. Excellent oral and interpersonal written communication skills, poise in teaching and consulting required. Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) certification within 2 years required. Work Shift Details: Days, Primarily Days M-F.
