POSITION TITLE: High School Teacher (2024-2025) Grades 9-12
QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold proper certification through the Arkansas Department of Education
REPORTS TO: Building Principal and/or other Supervisor
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190 days with benefits provided according to Siloam Springs
Board Policies
Essential Job Functions
  • Participate in curriculum review and/or design.
  • Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
  • Implement a variety of evidence based instructional strategies to engage students with the essential learning standards.
  • Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
  • Effectively use and analyze data to adjust instruction and/or support student needs.
  • Adjust instruction within the classroom (Tier 1) to meet the needs of all students, reteaching or extending when needed.
  • Monitor and assess student progress frequently, using both formative and summative assessments, and provide feedback.
  • Provide student progress reports as required.
  • Refer students for alternative services as provided by the District (ESL, Special Education, GT, etc.).
  • Maintain consistent and timely parent communication using appropriate structures.
  • Effectively implement district initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with the department (PLC) and grade level teachers.
  • Meet or exceed professional responsibilities and professional behavior expectations.
Other Job Functions
  • Abide by state statutes, school board policies and regulations.
  • Attend meetings and perform duties as assigned by administrators or supervisors.
  • Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation.
  • Serve on committees as assigned.
  • Remain current on instructional practices in education.
  • Participate in district staff development.
