This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Silo Ridge Field Club, set outside of Amenia, New York.
Silo Ridge Field Club is seeking a Pool Attendant to join the Food and Beverage Service Department.
The Pool Attendant is responsible for contributing the a great member and guest experience. The Pool Attendant will be expected to open and close their assigned station on a daily basis. Duties include keeping assigned outlet stations neat, organized, and stocked with various snacks, candies, and beverages. Additional duties may include simple food preparation, cooking, and serving of outlet menu items. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.
Key Responsibilities

• Promptly respond to all guest/member requests.
• Record all orders accurately in the POS.
• Be attentive to any food allergies.
• Monitor expriation of perishable items.
• Prior to delivery of food, ensure all orders are complete and accurate according to individual specifications.
• Knowledge of food and beverage pairings.
• Thorough understanding of all items on the menu and daily specials.
• Ensure daily opening and closing responsibilities are completed accuratly and consistent with the departments SOP.
• Bar and kitchen counter should be set per the departments SOP and ready for guests at all times.
• Keep the appearance of the pool deck consistent throughout the day.
• Daily stocking and re-stocking of all bar/kitchen items as needed throughout the day.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar and pool deck throughout the day with light housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, cleaning counters and tables, and garbage disposal.
• Conduct inventory of all bar items as requested.
• Report any maintenance and/or safety issues promptly to the Restaurant Manager.
• Maintain all equipment and be sure it is properly handled and maintained.
• Ensure the department complies with all government, safety, health, and security standards.
• Attend department meetings and trainings as necessary.
• Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum previous experience of three (3) months food service or guest service experience, preferably at a fast paced, high end restaurant, club, or resort.
• Previous experience in F&B highly desired along with Bartending experience.
• Knowledge of HACCP & local food safety standards; possesses or can obtain State Food Safety Certificate.
• Knowledgeable of wines and beverage.
• Extraordinary attention to detail, quality and service.

• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
