Silicon Mtn. Contract Services is Hiring an Equipment Technician 2 Near Nampa, ID

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in PCB equipment repair, mechanical knowledge, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of all surface mount, select soldering, conformal coating equipment, and all process support equipment.
  • Perform and track machine calibration and preventative maintenance.
  • Adjust machine process recipes to achieve industry quality standards (IPC).
  • Assist in New Product Introduction, confirming the product is built to customer specifications.
  • Perform basic computer troubleshooting, including part, Windows, and program installations.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as scissor lifts and forklifts.
  • Facilities maintenance, including airline and exhaust installs, lamp changes, and air compressor maintenance.
  • Building maintenance, including groundskeeping, leak repair, and building inspection.
  • Provide written and verbal passdowns and other information in an organized manner.
  • Assist in the installation of all manufacturing equipment.
  • Assist engineering in designing experiments and process development.

Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient in reading and verifying electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics/drawings. Experience in circuit board-level troubleshooting is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of plumbing for water and air.
  • Have good written and oral interpersonal skills with an ability to work under minimum supervision.
  • Must be safety-orientated in the proper use of hand and power tools.
  • Understand safe energy isolation of equipment, conforming to OSHA standards.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders, and fit into tight spaces.
  • Shift Schedule is 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Thursday
  • Able to work 10 hours shifts, with possible overtime/holiday time on a volunteer basis

Education:

Associate degree in Electronics Technology or related field, or 5 years of related experience.

Work experience will be examined and determined on a case-by-case basis.

Compensation:

$20-30 per hour, based on education and experience.
