A leading residential builder is looking for a great applicant to fill an Accountant role. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in managing the financial aspects of our single-family home building projects, from project setup and budgeting to reporting and compliance. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform project accounting and reporting activities, including cost coding, inputting, and generating detailed reports to track project expenses and financial performance.
• Coordinate project setup for budgets and tracking using Jonas Premier software, ensuring accurate allocation of resources and adherence to project financial goals.
• Manage entity-level accounting and reporting for all relevant entities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and filings.
• Facilitate project draw or capital submissions and follow up with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely processing and disbursement of funds.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and other financial tasks to maintain accurate project records and financial data.
• Collaborate with external CPAs to support entity-level filings and compliance efforts, providing necessary documentation and assistance as needed.
• Generate detailed reports and high-level overviews based on different stakeholder needs, providing valuable insights into project financials and performance.
• Utilize your skill set to assist in cash flow projections and needs analysis by project, optimizing resource allocation and financial planning.
• Manage budget reviews and updates with team members by project, providing guidance and support to ensure project financial goals are met.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• 5-7 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the real estate or construction industry.
• Strong understanding of real estate and contracting concepts, with experience in project accounting and reporting.
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new software tools and technologies.
• Proficiency in Jonas Premier software preferred, with experience in QuickBooks a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to generate accurate financial reports and projections.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• CPA certification or relevant accounting credentials preferred.
