Automation Project Engineer will be responsible for the scope, efficacy, Gantt charts, and budget for assembly automation projects to ensure that First Time on Time delivery in Full (FOOTIF) is met per the customer requirements. Perform engineering duties relating to the planning and design of molding processes and equipment, assembly of new equipment, and modifications for continuous improvement and new product forms. Partner with international high speed automation vendors to develop optimal assembly solutions of dispensing systems. Develop assembly and testing processes to ensure Zero Defects (ZD) and Cpk2 is met. Work with automation vendors to ensure that these processes are correctly scaled onto automation assembly equipment and maintain stability. Define the important features and standards that the machine assembly must meet to meet Silgan standards. Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at vendor locations making sure the requirements are met or exceeded before allowing delivery. Assess possible deviations occurring in the production processes.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related plus 2 years of experience with Automation Engineering, or related. Requires skills and experience in the following:
Salary range: $88,000 - $100,000
