Sila Inc. is Hiring an User Experience Designer (Intermediate) Near Tukwila, WA

 Join our team as a User Experience Designer (Intermediate), where you'll use your skills to craft user-centric design solutions that enhance user satisfaction, engagement, and loyalty. In this role, you'll understand user perspectives, their emotions, and behaviors to guide and inspire our design processes within our global aviation clients. You will have exposure to and gain experience with myriad tools and technologies, reaching into large user bases across the globe. 

The perfect candidate will demonstrate proficiency in essential design thinking and UX skills, including user research, strategic planning, design and prototyping, developer collaboration, and usability testing.  

This position is based in Tukwila, WA and will require several days a week in person at the client site.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate within cross-functional teams to strategically design and deliver comprehensive user experiences that align with user needs, business objectives, and technological constraints for each project. 
  • Create end-to-end customer journeys and bring intuitive customer experiences to life. 
  • Identify key issues to address, assess product usability, and provide well-founded recommendations for enhancements. 
  • Advocate for the prioritization of design-centered changes, refinements, and improvements. 
  • Evaluate the usability of both new and existing products, offering constructive suggestions for enhancements. 
  • Develop wireframes and prototypes at various levels of fidelity to illustrate design concepts and gather feedback from stakeholders. 
  • Conceptualize new products from the ground up and enhance existing features through a user-centered design process. 
  • Translate high-level business concepts into intuitive and engaging consumer experiences. 
  • Balance the creation of an ideal user experience with business goals and time-to-market constraints. 
  • Lead design solutions based on analytics from user insights, business needs, and industry trends that further business outcomes. 
  • Lead design solutions grounded in user needs by incorporating user research, analytics, business requirements, and UX best practices to drive business outcomes. 
  • Craft clear and concise presentations for the Senior Leadership team and internal teams, effectively communicating the rationale behind your designs. 
  • Maintain consistent user experiences and visual standards across various solutions. 
  • Influence product roadmaps and business decisions by providing customer experience insights. 
  • Act as a subject matter expert, by leading customer experience strategy and articulating design thinking to create consistent deliverables across multiple project teams. 
  • Guide projects through usability testing, with a focus on translating user observations into actionable insights and recommendations. 
  • Identify and promote adoption of user-center design process improvements. 
Your background:
  • 5 years of UX design experience. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in human factors orcomputer science, or equivalent demonstrated experience and expertisein interaction design, and/or user experience design. 
  • Ability to create interactive experiences with prototyping software; proficiency with Figma strongly desired. 
  • Strong proficiency with interaction designusingUX principles to create design deliverables including user stories, user flows,experience maps, sketches, wireframes and prototyping, information architectures and site maps, concept diagrams,user scenarios, and user flows. 
  • Ability to understand and distill complex problems into elegant, informed solutions. 
  • Ability to work through technical and regulatory constraints to propose the best user experience. 
  • Design user interfaces balancing business needs and delivering the optimum user experience. 
  • Ability to build prototypes and simulations of user interfaces and champion your design solutions. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical, highly complexUX projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders.
  • Experience owning the UX design for a product through the full lifecycle of the project (conceptual design through post-launch improvement and iteration). 
  • Experience conducting user research and eliciting information from users (e.g.,leading interviews, writing surveys, conducting usability tests, and synthesizing feedback). 
  • Experience working with design systems and collaborating with teams to define component specifications, guidelines, and documentation.
