General Information / Job Summary

The Vehicle Fleet Specialist position is responsible the general upkeep of the Saulsbury vehicle and trailer fleet, including vehicle inspections and registrations, initiating vehicle repairs and tracking of scheduled maintenance, filing of records pertaining to all Saulsbury fleet to include Tool Vans, Vehicles, Trailers, Cargo Trailers, Etc.

Responsibilities / Competencies

  • Maintenance and general upkeep of the Saulsbury Vehicle and trailer Fleet
  • Identify and communicate to Fleet Foreman any undocumented vehicle damages.
  • Ensure Fuel Cards and Maintenance cards are with each vehicle
  • Work closely with the DOT Compliance Officer on necessary tasks
  • Supports all Fleet Management groups when needed (Vehicle Fleet, DOT, Equipment)
  • Assign Vehicles in Tool Watch as needed
  • Perform Vehicle swaps in the field as needed
  • Work with approved Vendor’s for various types of vehicle / trailer repairs
  • Ensure all fleet has current registrations
  • Install and maintain Geotab tracking devises
  • Assist with Vehicle Fleet Recalls
  • Perform record retention for Saulsbury’s Vehicle Fleet, to include Tool Vans Vehicles, Trailers, etc.
  • Assist in preparation for the Sale / Disposing of Fleet assets
  • Coordinate with Drivers, Distribution Facilities, and Projects on obtaining all documentation for annual / DOT inspections as well as State and Federal Registrations for filing and retention
  • Other duties as assigned by Management

Requirements

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge and skills in Office programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Possess valid drivers’ license with a good driving record
  • Team Communication Skills

  • On a continual basis, promotes an awareness of environmental, health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment and ensures compliance with all accompany policies
  • Ability to pass drug test as mandated by the Saulsbury Industries and Department of Transportation anti-drug program
