Qualifications for the Commercial Lines Insurance Supervisor/Agency Manager:

  • 100% in office position
  • Proficiency in Applied Systems Epic software at an exceptional level REQUIRED, demonstrating the ability to navigate, utilize, and leverage its features effectively for insurance agency operations.
  • Proven experience (8 years) in commercial insurance sales, servicing, underwriting, or related roles, with a track record of success.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field (Degree preferred).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, and risk assessment.
  • Familiarity with insurance industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology used in the insurance industry.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CIC, CPCU, CRM) are a plus.

Responsibilities for the Commercial Lines Insurance Supervisor/Agency Manager:

  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of account managers. Provide guidance and support to ensure the team's performance aligns with the agency's goals. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Commercial Insurance division, streamlining processes, and enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Business Development: Develop and execute strategic plans in collaboration with commercial account managers to expand the agency's commercial insurance business. Establish relationships with account managers and provide guidance and mentorship to elevate your team to success.
  • Client/Producer Relationship Management: Collaborate with the producers to understand their specific requirements and tailor an insurance team around the producers to effectively handle the needs of the book of business.
  • Industry Trends: Stay current with industry trends, regulations, market dynamics affecting commercial insurance, adapting strategies and offerings accordingly. Review complex cases and make informed decisions to manage staff and meet producer expectations for the agency and its clients.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, regulations, and developments in the commercial insurance industry. Use this knowledge to provide expert advice to clients and guide the team in offering relevant and competitive insurance products.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting: Monitor key performance metrics of the commercial lines staff. Provide regular reports to senior management regarding account managers performance identifying areas for improvement and growth.
  • Compliance and Legal Oversight: Ensure the agency's operations are in compliance with industry regulations and legal requirements. Mitigate risks related to regulatory issues and maintain a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other agency departments, such as personal lines, claims, marketing, administration, and information technology to streamline processes and enhance overall client experience.
