Summary
The Product Engineer role is responsible for load design of dunnage and related securement items that protect products during shipment. This involves product design with respect to capabilities of multiple Signode manufacturing facilities across North America. The role will support multiple product families across a variety of processes and market applications. Focus will be on industrial product/application design, product performance to specification, new product development from a production perspective, and industry certification and acceptance. This position will support growth and profit objectives through the successful completion of key projects that deliver improved productivity and a positive impact on operating costs.
Essential Functions
Position Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in a field related to Industrial Packaging, Industrial Engineering and/or Manufacturing Engineering.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience. Prefer exposure to packaging engineering of paper-based products in a working environment. Will consider a recent graduate with strong aptitude and interest.at both product and plant manufacturing levels. Must have strong background in Microsoft Office applications, CAD design and SolidWorks.
