SIGNET ELECTRONIC SYSTEM INC is Hiring an Apprentice Near Norwell, MA

General Description:
The Apprentice will obtain training and work experience through participation in an 8000-hour low voltage electrical Apprenticeship Program sponsored by Company through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Labor Division of Apprentice Training. The Apprentice must complete 600 hours related instruction training. Reliable transportation and a valid drivers' license required

Responsibilities include:

Assist Technician(s) with repair/maintenance and installation of voice/data/sound and video systems throughout New England
low voltage cable installation, cable management, cable terminations, device installation, general installation support for Foreman
Perform other duties per managers' request.

Work Experience Requirements:

Some construction experience required
Some cabling experience preferred

Skill Requirements:

Must be able to rate information using measurable standards
Understand and follow written and oral instructions
Observe differences in written copy and recognize errors in spelling and numbers
Use common sense in solving problems
Communicate effectively
Do basic arithmetic and write legibly
Work under pressure
Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
Perform a variety of duties which may change often

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to see and hear and must be able to distinguish between colors (naturally or with correction); speak clearly; use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects; coordinate eyes and hands rapidly and accurately climb and maintain body balance; lift, carry for push objects weighing up to 50 lbs; crouch, stand and/or walk carrying equipment for long periods of time.
