Signature Flight Support is Hiring a Fuel Quality Control Specialist Near Orlando, FL


Job Description

This role’s primary function is to ensure compliance with our Fuel Quality Control (AFQC) Program to ensure systemic success in achieving clean, dry fuel at all Signature North American bases. The role will interact with Signature bases on a daily basis to answer questions and assist with issues regarding all elements of the AFQC program, including fuel farms, refueling equipment, and policies and procedures for receiving, testing, storing, and dispensing of fuel. The role will also contribute to recommending and implementing internal AFQC Program policy changes for the Signature AFQC Manual. This role will also respond to and support bases during incident responses and investigations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Required auditing of Signature AFQC Programs (receiving, storage, testing, and dispensing) against appropriate SOPs; accountable for delivering corrective actions to the base management team and assuring timely closure of all safety-related findings
  • Responsible for responding to FBO-level QC problems with 24/7/365 availability
  • Responsible for internal policy changes and implementing the same into the network
  • Responsible for responding to aircraft incident/accident events for Fuel QC assurance throughout the Signature North American network
  • Responsible for teaching the Signature required Fuel QC program at regularly scheduled regional seminars
  • Ensure compliance with the Signature Aviation Risk Assessment protocols at each base through regular review and coaching.
  • Build relationships with cross-network safety partners, including trade associations, regulators, and vendors.
  • Represent Signature Flight Support in special projects and meetings with safety policymakers and industry trade associations. 
  • Assess regular additions, deletions, and other changes to industry standard regulations and requirements for applicability to Signature processes and procedures and amend/update internal programs and documents as required.
  • Drive implementation of new regulations and industry best practices.
  • Solely responsible for the rollout and implementation of the Signature electronic fuel quality control program for the North American network once contract execution is complete.
Job Qualifications

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three to five (3-5) years of relevant experience in General Aviation and/or Commercial Fuel Quality Control

Additional knowledge and skills:

  • Fuel Quality Control experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is essential.
  • Previous experience in aviation or related industry/sector is highly desirable.
  • IT proficient and technically able.
  • Exceptional organization skills.
  • Strong communication & listening skills, a team player and innovator. 
  • Willingness to undertake any ongoing or specialist training required to meet the role's needs.
  • The ability to work with colleagues across the organization at various levels and based in different countries.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills. 
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy operational environment.
  • Strong customer service skills, high attention to detail, and a result-orientated focus
  • Motivated outlook and high integrity.
