Responsibilities:
- Process accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing and posting payments
- Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and follow up on outstanding balances
- Reconcile discrepancies and resolve billing issues with customers
- Prepare and distribute monthly statements to customers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate billing and collections
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounts receivable or related field preferred
- Knowledge of governmental accounting principles and practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and coding
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in using accounting software, such as Sage or similar systems
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding is a plus
- Understanding of debits, credits, and basic accounting principles
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
