Signarama Troy | Metro Detroit is Hiring a Maintenance Worker Near Troy, MI

We are looking for a reliable maintenance crew member to undertake facility upkeep and repair tasks at the interior and/or exterior of company premises. We are looking for a skilled Maintenance worker to keep our facilities tidy and functional by assuming responsibility for repairs and cleaning. We’ll rely on you to keep our facility in perfect running condition by doing various odd jobs.

Our ideal candidate is self-motivated with a keen eye for detail and has significant “handyman” work experience and solid technical knowledge. If you want to join a fast paced, fun, get-it-done growing company then look no further! If this sounds like you, we have the job for you!

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Ability to safely use common power and hands tools.
  • Clean facilities by sweeping, mopping shop floor, etc.
  • Inspects the building, grounds, and equipment.
  • Performing maintenance and light facility repairs within a timely manner.
  • Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks (e.g. shoveling snow)
  • Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (i.e. ventilation).

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to use hand/power tools and tape measure.
  • Light construction experience required
  • Must be mechanically inclined.
  • Willing to do a diversity of tasks in the shop and outside the building.
  • Willing to work odd hours when needing to complete a time sensitive job.
  • Proven experience as a “handyman”.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC system.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50lbs.
  • Must have a driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Job Type: Part-Time

Schedule:

Monday-Friday day shift. Expected hours to be 16-24 hours/week. Extra hours may be requested to cover extraordinary circumstances or special events.
