The Patrol Officer for Signal of Sioux Falls is a patrol member of the Elite Security, LLC team. The Patrol Officer works in conjunction with the Patrols’ Coordinator, Advanced Officer and all other members. Collectively these unified positions are responsible for the overall welfare and support of Signal’s clients. This position is an integral part of the team as the Patrol Officer will be working independently, with clients and with the community.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Rove the community adhering to assigned region, conducting tours, following post orders/site instructions checking for:
  • Break-ins
  • Loitering
  • Suspicious Activity
  • Any other client or management assigned tasks

• Answer and respond to clients’ calls for:
  • Lockouts
  • Alarms
  • Noise complaints

• Write digital reports of any issues that occurred

• Write nightly logs that are sent to the supervisor including a synopsis of the night and any reports

• Uphold, demonstrate and conduct oneself with Signal’s core values in mind: Passion, Honesty & Integrity, Relationships, Service, and Learning

• Maintain attendance
  • Arrive on time
  • Do not leave before end of shift
  • Minimum two hour notice required for any call outs
  • Minimum two week notice required for any time off requests

• Maintain uniform
  • The polo should be clean with no marks or holes, tucked in, and bottom two buttons should be closed
  • Khaki pants with a black belt
  • All or mostly black shoes or boots
  • Undershirt of black, grey, or white may be worn under the polo

• Maintain Appearance& Hygiene
  • Officers are expected to maintain general hygiene ie. Showering, grooming, and daily cleansing tasks ie. Deodorant, oral care, nail care (cleaned, trimmed, and shaped)
  • Hair must be of a natural color and tied back if past shoulders
  • Non-derogatory or non-discriminate tattoos may be shown, others must be covered
  • Facial piercings must be covered with a band-aid if not able to remove, otherwise can be replaced with a clear or skin colored retainer
  • Jewelry:
    • All earrings must be studs unless approved by the Branch Supervisor
    • Necklaces and bracelets are not permitted aside from one wristwatch
    • Wedding rings can be worn at the employees’ own risk, all other rings are not permitted

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license

• Must be efficient with technology, specifically smartphones

Education:

• High school diploma required
