The Lead Security Officer is an armed position. They Lead Officer leads the Security team to fulfill the mission of Sight & Sound through serving our guests, visitors, and co-workers, and in stewardship of our facilities and property.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Actively promote and exemplify a culture that upholds our mission, values and safety statements.
• Provide leadership, instill a passion for Security, and foster a positive work environment through mentoring and training of team members, recognizing each person's strengths and capitalizing on them.
• Lead the team in the Security Manager’s absence and perform all tasks required of Lead Security Officer with excellence.
• Under the direction of your supervisor, conduct regular 1 on 1’s or group meetings with your team to provide support, positive influence, and accountability.
• Understand basic security principles and how to implement them while delivering top quality customer service to our guests and internal customers in that process.
• Partner with other Sight & Sound leaders to develop strong working relationships, trust, and communication between teams.
• Stay current with policy and procedural changes.
• Participate in training events, both onsite and off property.
• Serve fellow workers in a courteous, professional manner.

Prerequisites:

• Strong customer service mindset and desire to assist others
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to respond calmly, rationally, and with discernment in a stressful environment
• Detail oriented and organized
• Computer literate and competent use of Microsoft Office software, ability to operate various electronic equipment such as security cameras, fire, burglar, CO2 alarm systems, and basic facility systems (i.e., generators).
• Available to work all shifts and travel occasionally for training
• PA Act 235 Certification (PA) / MO Guard Card (MO)
• Valid Concealed Carry Permit
• Must have valid driver's license

Other Skills and / or Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug screening. Must be able to annually meet minimum physical requirements including pass a physical exam by a medical doctor; have uncorrected vision of at least 20/70 in one eye and 20/200 in the other; have corrected vision of at least 20/20 in one eye and 20/40 in the other; pass a hearing examination (permitted to use hearing aid); pass a psychological examination administered by a licensed psychologist; and have no conviction of a disqualifying criminal offense.
• Must be able to pass a post-offer physical assessment.
• Must be able to annually (1) pass a physical exam, including vision and hearing; (2) pass a drug & alcohol screening; (3) pass a psychological wellbeing checkup, and (4) pass a background check. Lancaster employees must maintain a current PA ACT 235 certification.
• Branson employees must maintain the ability to demonstrate the equivalent competencies required by PA ACT 235.
• Employees in this position are subject to random drug and alcohol screenings.

Education and/or Experience: Minimum High School diploma with 3-5 years of armed experience in security, or equivalent police or military experience. Customer service training preferred.
