Siffrin is Hiring a Director of Residential Services Near Canton, OH

Position Overview

Directs all aspects of Siffrin’s Residential Services program and supervises assigned staff in each service delivery area. Assures that individual plans, agency policies and procedures, and governing regulations are implemented and followed. Acts as the liaison with the County Board(s) and other agencies to ensure quality service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Residential Services Program Oversight
    • Supervises assigned staff in each county Siffrin provides services. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with agency policy and procedure and applicable laws and regulations.
    • Assists in the recruitment, interviewing, selection, retention and training of employees assigned to Residential Services; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance of assigned staff; rewarding and coaching staff; addressing and resolving complaints and problems. Ensures that competent levels of performance are met based upon the written job description.
    • Assures that daily, weekly, and monthly records are maintained accurately and efficiently. This includes, but is not limited to, census, payroll data, program and medication records, and staff schedules. May also include any other records as requested or required by funding sources.
    • Assures that assigned staff are overseeing the coordination of each Individual Service Plan (ISP) to ensure community and family involvement and maximum individual empowerment within the normal course of life.
    • Reviews, updates, or revises home procedures to maintain compliance with required standards, rules, regulations, laws, and codes.
    • Conducts ongoing program analysis to assist in determining their effectiveness and efficiency.
    • Assists in maintaining safe and sanitary conditions within all homes at all times through assuring that fire drills and emergency weather drills are scheduled and run per agency guidelines.
    • Establishes payroll and expense budgets for each location and monitors performance within guidelines established.
    • Works collaboratively with members of the administrative team
    • Leads staff meetings on a scheduled basis.
    • Assures that assigned staff are overseeing home records are accurate, maintained and that all required office items and forms are accessible.
    • Works collaboratively with members of the administrative team to plan, design, develop, budget and evaluate Residential Services initiatives and goals that support organizational strategic goals and the annual operating plan.
    • May be required to provide direct care to individuals served as required to maintain compliance and/or individuals health and safety.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Follows Siffrin’s Code of Ethics in the fulfillment of duties.
    • Completes additional duties as required or assigned.
    • Interactions with those served in a manner that denotes respect for personal integrity at all times.
    • Completes and maintains training requirements as listed on the Professional Development Plan annually.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Must be able to carry, move, or lift supplies and materials; work with computers, copiers, equipment, and supplies; talk and hear; use hands to manipulate, type, reach, handle or feel; stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds; weight may vary depending on the location.
  • Must be able to push wheelchairs, use Hoyer lifts, bend, twist, and pick up objects with body and hands.
  • Must be able to operate a vehicle in all weather conditions.
  • Work is conducted in an office environment. Traveling to and from other work sites is required for meetings, in-services, and/or trainings. The employee may be subject to adverse weather conditions when driving.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • A High School Diploma or GED is required. A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., business, logistics, engineering) is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years in service management role.
    • Proven success in managing teams and driving operational excellence.
  • Certifications:
    • Relevant certifications or training helpful.
  • Skills:
    • Project management
    • Effective communication
    • Customer service orientation
    • Leadership and team development
    • Analytical skills utilized in making decisions.
