Sierra View Medical Center is Hiring a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) - Surgery Near Porterville, CA

  • Shift: Variable (5 - 8 hr shifts)
  • Sign-On Bonus: $20K (Must have 3 years experience)
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of California. Must have and maintain CNOR certification. Must have and maintain current BLS Card, required. ACLS Card required or obtained within orientation process, prior to hands-on patient care. Must have proof of current nursing malpractice insurance.
    The Registered Nurse First Assistant is a Perioperative nurse who works in collaboration with the surgeon and other health care team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes. During the assisting phase and until conclusion of the operative procedure the R.N.F.A. is under the direction of the Surgeon. As needed, the R.N.F.A. may provide patient care by circulating or scrubbing surgical procedures. The Registered Nurse First Assistant is credentialed through the medical staff as allied health provider.
    Must be able to work normal/scheduled working hours which may include Holidays, call-backs, weeknights, weekends, and on-call in the Director's absence. Agrees to participate, as directed, in emergencies and community disasters during scheduled and unscheduled hours.

    The employee must work well under pressure, meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines; and the incumbent shall at all times demonstrate a cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors from all departments of the Hospital and government agency employees.
