Behavioral Health Care company seeking to fill the following position: Behavioral Health Tech.
Candidate will possess an accredited high school diploma or successfully pass the High School Equivalency Examination. Experience in a psychiatric hospital or residential treatment center preferred. MHT or BHT certification is a plus. Must have a valid driver's license and must be willing to work graveyard shifts.
Position Summary
- Highly vigilant in supervision, whereabouts and minimizing risks of clients.
- Driving clients to appointments in company van.
- Medication pass.
- UA's.
- Continuously serves as a professional role model.
- Uses strong verbal and written communication to collaborate with the treatment team.
- Adjust approach to each client based on age, gender and cultural considerations.
- Assists in maintaining program function including meal supervision and safety checks.
- Assists in structured therapeutic activities and supportive interactions with clients.
- Interprets client behavior or physical symptoms so that abnormal behaviors are recognized and reported.
- Fills out routine forms & answers telephone.
