Join our Sierra Ranch Veterinary Clinic & Pet Rehabilitation Team! We are a two doctor practice, fast pace, and growing quickly! We are seeking a full time RVT who can work every other Saturday. We are looking for applicants willing to work in a team setting with a positive attitude. A strong work ethic and excellent communication skills are a must. You must have previous experience working in the veterinary field. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and hard-working.
Responsibilities
- Assistant doctors with appointments
- Assisting Technician appointments
- Some receptionist duties
- TPR, understands signalments.
- Basic Veterinary Assistant Skills: including restraint, SQ, IM, IV injections.
- Medical terminology
- Blood draws, IV Cath placement
- Basic diagnostics, which includes radiographs and in-house lab's.
- Dentistry: including digital dental radiographs, oral exams and anatomy, extractions- simple and complicated experience is a plus. Willing to train someone with interest.
- Drug Calculations
- Ultrasound
- Basic diagnostics, which includes radiographs and in-house lab's.
- Laser Therapy experience is a plus
Qualifications
- Must have a current license as a registered veterinary technician obtained from an accredited program
- Must be self-motivated, have great customer service skill sand have the ability to understand time management to be able to prioritize effectively
