Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Procedural Take-off Modeler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in reading, understanding, and interpreting plans (civil, architectural, structural, etc.). Provide quantity takeoffs. GPS modeling in AGTEK earthwork 4D with the ability to communicate the takeoff results with the estimating team.

Essential Functions

• Proficiency in AGTEK for site design and modeling
• Coordinates total estimating effort relevant to project assigned
• Reviews construction documents including proposal specifications and drawings
• Attends pre-bid meetings to fully understand scope of work to bid
• Executes quantity take-offs of construction plans
• Inputs take-off quantities into estimating software
• Where predetermined standards are not available, make an estimate and qualifications
• Informs the immediate supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in bid documents and plans
• Advises all necessary parties pf major changes to scope of work
• Once the project is complete debriefing with estimating, engineering, and production teams to discuss the outcome
• Maintain back up files and working documents for all quantity take-offs
• Attends departmental meetings as required
• Photocopies documents and plans

Skills:

• General knowledge of 3D modeling/AGTEK
• AGTEK software a must
• Trimble Business Center Software
• Familiar with Heavy Construction Equipment
• Demolition experience a plus
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Thoroughness

Education:

• 3 years related experience
• Bachelors degree preferred
• Must have estimating experience with heavy civil projects

Work Environment

• This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including but not limited to computers, phones, and copiers

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
