Sierra Donor Services is Hiring an In-house Recovery Coordinator (Santa Rosa) Near West Sacramento, CA

  • We are looking for dedicated professionals to help us carry out our mission to save and improve lives through organ and tissue donation. 
  • We are currently seeking a Full-Time In-House Organ Recovery Coordinator within the Santa Rosa campus. 
  • As an In-House Organ Recovery Coordinator, you will be part of our fantastic Clinical team and will work with families to facilitate the organ and tissue donation process. 

 In addition to working closely with donor families, other responsibilities include: 

  1. Working with hospital personnel, physicians, Hospital Services and Organ Recovery Coordinators 
  2. Working in a Monday through Friday capacity to facilitate the authorization process with potential organ and tissue donor families 
  3. Responsible for responding on site for initial referrals for screening, to support families onsite for organ cases, and to offer the donation opportunity. Daily rounding with critical care teams to identify donation opportunities. Collaborating with Hospital Services to provide ongoing education and helping to develop and foster a culture of donation within the institution. 
  4. Consistently communicates and has empathy for both the donor family and potential transplant recipient 
  5. Responsible for responding on site independently or with an ORC to hospital referrals in order to assess donors, interpret charts, document information, and communicate findings in a timely manner 

If you are a caring and compassionate individual who has experience working with families or in crisis intervention, this is the career for you! Qualifications include: 

  1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred 
  2. Two to four years of healthcare experience with families, counseling, bereavement, and/or crisis intervention preferred 
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Programs 

This position is located in Santa Rosa, California.
