Summary: Under supervision from the IT Manager, the Network Administrator II designs, supports, maintains, and evaluates computer networking and telecommunication systems; installs, configures, and maintains physical and virtual systems; maintains employee network; e-mail; performs other related duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

1. Administration of network and domain security permissions in coordination with the IT Manager.
2. Coordinate configuration and deployment of virtual servers, web servers, storage arrays, firewalls, and switches.
3. Assist Network team with the design, configuration, implementation and administration of LAN and WAN to include components such as switches, routers, links, cabling, operating systems.
4. Manage backup systems for network servers including replication to off-site DR datacenter, and backup retention based on audit standards.
5. Provide routine to advanced technical support for telecommunications and related equipment and software.
6. Maintain accurate records for hardware and software inventory, maintenance, and registration, ensuring compliance with software licensing.
7. Diagnose and resolve simple or complex network and server problems to ensure minimal disruption of missioncritical systems and applications.
8. Report and/or escalate serious network problems that may affect operations to ensure optimum performance levels and data integrity are maintained.
9. Communicates resolution timeline with internal customers, including followup communication.
10. Aid in upkeeping of the business continuity and disaster recovery plans and maintains current knowledge of plan executables.
11. Work with the Network Security Specialist to review and update the IT Risk Assessment, Policies, Procedures, etc.
12. Maintains professional relationships with vendors.

Education and Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent combination of education and experience, MSCE is preferred.
2. Expert level knowledge and understanding of core Windows services including Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, NTFS and IIS.
3. Hands-on experience deploying network equipment such as routers, rack systems and switches.
4. Experience with load balancing systems.
5. Experience with network storage solutions including NAS and SAN, and the supporting network protocols.
6. Expert level understanding of backup and replication techniques and methodologies.
7. Extensive knowledge and experience with virtual server infrastructure.
8. Experience with firewalls, internet VPN, remote networking, virtual environments, troubleshooting and problem resolution. Familiarity with multi-site backup, replication software technologies.
9. Certifications in VMWare administration, Citrix Desktop administration preferred.
10. Expert level certification in at least one Microsoft technology a plus. Example MCSE, Microsoft 365 Certified Administrator Expert, etc.
11. Experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux a plus.

Physical Requirements (performed with or without reasonable accommodation)

1. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials weighing 50 pounds or less.
2. Continuous sitting or alternating sitting and standing during shift.
3. Equipment installations may require bending and crouching to install under desks.

Travel to other branch locations is required.

Starting pay is $112,000-$143,500 a year depending on experience along with a great choice of benefits for full-time and part-time employees.
