Siena College is accepting resumes for the part-time position of Lead Custodian. The hours are Monday through Friday 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The Lead Custodian will report to the Custodial Department Supervisor and will be responsible for, among other things, managing the daily workflow of the building, prioritizing daily tasks to insure the safety & health of students and other personnel, and serving as the direct contact person responsible for providing general assistance to building occupants. In addition to performing routine manual cleaning tasks and maintaining supplies, the Lead Custodian would be responsible for the overall cleanliness of the building and possibly for the training, quality control and general activities of at least one Custodian or Janitor.
Salary: $17.18/hour - 20 hours per week
This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to stand for long periods, climb, bend, stoop, move furniture and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds. A high school diploma or equivalent or significant related experience, and three or more years of relevant experience are also required.
