Position Overview

The Factory Automation Business Unit has an exciting new opportunity for a Business Development Specialist for our Industrial Computing portfolio, focused on developing partnerships around NVIDIA’s Ecosystem of Solution Providers.

If you have a successful track record of selling complex industrial computing products and solutions into strategic accounts, developing and executing detailed business development plans, have excellent communication and presentation skills, have a passion for driving the best end-to-end automation and / or computing solutions into the market, and being part of a highly dynamic team, we want to talk to you!

Key responsibilities of this position are:

  • This position is an integral part of the Siemens Digital Industries team for the Factory Automation Business Unit. As a Business Development Specialist for the NVIDIA Ecosystem, you will be focused on developing relationships with Solution Partners, System Integrators, Independent Software Vendors (ISV’s) and distributors centered around the NVIDIA AI (Artificial Intelligence) & Omniverse product offering.

  • You will be responsible for finding and developing new opportunities / leads for Siemens Industrial Computing products within NVIDIA’s ecosystem, executing sales strategies and plans to scale and convert business to Siemens and maintain account responsibility through the conversion process.

  • This position will effectively develop relationships and influences key decision-makers within an account (NVIDIA Partner), including at the executive management levels.

  • You will apply acquired process, application, product and / or equipment knowledge based on current industry trends (IIOT, Edge-Computing, Computer Vision, AI/ML applications and use-cases), best practices, performance, price and functionality to define the future automation / computing strategy for specific strategic accounts.

  • Works in a team environment with other Siemens Factory Automation field and support resources (application engineers, marketing, etc.) to convert large opportunities in the market.

  • Provides technical product presentations and performs complex hardware and / or software design consultation in accordance with customer / project needs and assist customers through applications from concept through completion.

  • Manages opportunity pipeline in Siemens CRM system and provides monthly operating report.

  • Applies excellent speaking and presentation skills to promote Factory Automation products and solutions.

  • This position will report to the Factory Automation Business Unit and will report directly to the Head of Industrial Computing.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills, combined with outstanding experience and know-how around leading PC-technologies and use-cases based on NVIDIA products and solutions, specifically focused on AI/ML architectures.

  • 5 years of consultative sales experience with measurable track record of success in external sales / business development.

  • Highly technology driven, knowledgeable and familiar with market trends (Virtualization, Edge Computing, IIOT, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big-Data, Cloud Computing and Data Analytics).

  • Knowledge on Artificial Intelligence technologies (Training Data, Analyzing Data, Inference and Data Modelling) as well as use-cases where AI is being applied (Computer Vision, Autonomous Robotics and Vehicles, Predictive Maintenance, Surveillance, …).

  • General understanding of factory automation systems (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, IIOT, Edge-Computing, Fieldbus Networks, and Industrial Software) and how they interact with AI-based concepts and solutions.

  • The candidate must be a team player and can work in a highly matrixed organization. This person must be self-motivated and proactive in order to keep a focus on driving account plans to ultimately close orders and grow business.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication / presentation skills.

  • Organization skills to manage schedule and travel.

  • Computer proficiency - knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

  • Education: BS/BA Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

The key attributes we are looking for in this position, but not required to be considered for this position are:

  • Worked 5 years in business development for high-tech products, Industrial Computing, AI/ML.

  • Excellent knowledge of the NVIDIA product portfolio and offering (especially AI / GPU / Omniverse).

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of use-cases where AI / ML is being applied.

  • Excellent understanding of “Smart Manufacturing” and the role of Industrial Computing products

  • Familiarity with regional markets and customers.

  • Willing to travel 50% within the USA.
