Sidney Regional Medical Center is Hiring a Phlebotomist Near Sidney, NE

Sidney Regional Medical Center is searching for a Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory team. This is a Monday through Friday position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and processes orders for lab procedures for patients.
  • Performs venous and capillary phlebotomy according to SOP.
  • May be trained and certified in DOT urine drug collections and breath alcohols.
  • Handles and processes specimens to prepare for shipment to reference laboratories.
  • Maintains reservation/admission accuracy of 97%.
  • Maintains knowledge of State and Federal regulations.
  • Performs decontamination of work areas.
  • Assists in maintaining adequate inventory of supplies in all work/storage areas of lab.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma
  • One year of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Must have a current valid driver’s license.
  • BLS Certified.
  • ASCP Phlebotomy registry preferred.
