Sidney Regional Medical Center is Hiring a Phlebotomist Near Sidney, NE
Sidney Regional Medical Center is searching for a Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory team. This is a Monday through Friday position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Reviews and processes orders for lab procedures for patients.
- Performs venous and capillary phlebotomy according to SOP.
- May be trained and certified in DOT urine drug collections and breath alcohols.
- Handles and processes specimens to prepare for shipment to reference laboratories.
- Maintains reservation/admission accuracy of 97%.
- Maintains knowledge of State and Federal regulations.
- Performs decontamination of work areas.
- Assists in maintaining adequate inventory of supplies in all work/storage areas of lab.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma
- One year of related experience and/or training preferred.
- Must have a current valid driver’s license.
- BLS Certified.
- ASCP Phlebotomy registry preferred.
