Job Posting: Design Assistant/Retail Studio Manager

Position: Design Assistant/Retail Studio Manager

Location: Dripping Springs

Schedule: Part-Time that can potentially grow into full time. Must be able to work the store Wednesday, Thursdays and Saturdays required. 10-5:30 Wed/Thur and Saturday 11-5. Other scheduling is open for discussion.

We're seeking a versatile Design Assistant/Retail Studio Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll wear many hats, ensuring the smooth operation of our retail studio while assisting with design projects. If you're motivated, forward-thinking, and ready to grow with us, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the retail studio.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, utilizing social and non-pushy sales skills to engage with clients.
  • Assist customers in selecting products, offering design advice, and coordinating purchases.
  • Maintain a clean and organized studio environment, ensuring products are well-displayed and easily accessible. Dusting, sweeping and cleaning in down time.
  • Assist with inventory management, including restocking products and placing orders as needed.
  • Support design projects by assisting with research and sourcing furniture, creating mood boards etc.
  • Schedule coordination of vendors, clients and keeping the calendars updated.
  • Light personal errands as needed
  • Stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge to provide informed recommendations to clients. Individual must be a design enthusiast!!!
  • The ability to pivot at any various time as important tasks come up.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in design-related roles.
  • Ability to follow directions well and execute tasks accordingly.
  • Ability to measure, do simple drawings and keep organized notes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers in a friendly and approachable manner.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work Saturdays and flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., design software, POS systems) is a plus. Must be familiar with google slides, budget sheets and entering data.
  • Passion for design and a willingness to learn and grow within the company.
  • Knowledge of furniture vendors and the trade process.
