The candidate will monitor for major incidents, facilitate incident/crisis management team support, author stakeholder and employee messages and related products, and document response activities. The Specialist will ensure timely, high-quality delivery of services and products. They will be accountable to the Sr. Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Manager and have dotted line reporting to Incident Commanders as events require. Successful candidates should be comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.Key responsibilities:Draft, review, and distribute stakeholder notificationsTriage and manage security incidents and events that cause business disruptionsWork with the Operations Manager to identify process and quality improvementsRepresent the BAC in incident response meetings with stakeholdersFacilitate “tabletop” and drill exercises while on shift for continuous trainingReceive information from outgoing shifts to identify ongoing events and open action items to ensure effective transition personnel supporting emergency incidents and eventsCreate effective oncoming shift briefings, allocate tasks and assignments, and drive completion of pending productsDevelop and implement preparedness and recovery trainingProvide back-up support and on-call functions, as neededAssess service statistics and prepare detailed reports on findingsCollaborate with internal and external teams partners to propose, develop, and implement solutions to customer and operational challengesQualificationsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience3 years of overall work experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated conflict resolution skillsExperience conducting research and analysisAbility to multitask in a fast paced, at times stressed work environmentComfortable with a high-tech work environment and willing to learn new tools and innovationsWillingness to work outside of the "standard" workday to interface with team members on other shifts and/or in other time zonesPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree2 years of experience as a leader (supervisory)Lean/Six Sigma experienceExperience in emergency management including preparedness and responseExperience developing and leading large-scale preparedness exercisesExperience in or demonstrated ability to lead people/teams without formal responsibility and interacting and building rapport with teams of all levelsAdditional InformationSuccessful candidates will be invited to complete a writing assessment test to writing skills. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to a final panel interview with presentation. In the current environment, our interviews will be conducted virtually. ​The remuneration for this role is negotiable for the right candidate, dependent on qualifications, aptitude and experience.
