Shyft6 is Hiring a Cath Lab Rad Tech Near Lake, AZ
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have graduated from a program in radiologic technology and hold current AART (R) certification. As a Cath Lab Rad Tech, you will be responsible for performing a variety of specialized imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions in our cardiac catheterization laboratory (Cath Lab).
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures, explaining the process and answering any questions they may have.
- Position patients and operate imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images of the heart and blood vessels during procedures.
- Assist physicians and other healthcare providers in performing interventional cardiac procedures, such as angioplasty, stent placement, and cardiac catheterization.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and responses to procedures, alerting medical staff to any changes or concerns.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including procedural documentation, imaging results, and patient history.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and guidelines to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
- Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Graduated from an accredited program in radiologic technology or a related discipline.
- Current AART (R) certification required on hire.
- Experience working in a cardiac catheterization laboratory or similar interventional cardiology setting preferred.
- Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and work flexible hours as needed.
