Job Overview
Shriners Children's Ohio has an opening for a Sr. Pharmacy Technician. Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. Hours: This full-time position is Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm; no weekends or holidays.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the pharmacist, the Sr. Pharmacy Technician performs routine duties including on-line ordering, receiving, unpacking, storing supplies, and checking shipments against invoices. The Sr. Tech is responsible for stocking the automated dispensing system and verifying against applicable reports, delivering medication to nurses as requested, completing pre-packing of unit dose medications, and preparing both oral and intravenous medication orders. Also responsible for compounding topical preparations following USP 795 guidelines, and maintaining the integrity of medications in the pharmacy, nursing units, crash carts, and auxiliary storage areas.

Education
High School Diploma / GED required
Certification/Licensure
Pharmacy Technician license in state of practice
Experience
2 years Pharmacy Technician experience required and in a hospital setting preferred
Trained and experienced in the preparation of sterile products
