Position Summary: Shoup’s Retail Store Manager will oversee sales and operation of our retail store.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

- Greeting and assisting customers by phone and in the retail store
- Offering customers cooking ideas & suggestive selling
- Stocking and pricing meat and condiments in our store
- Ordering shelf stable items to stock in our store and supplies for Christmas baskets with management approval.
- Working with Marketing Director to coordinate advertising and promos for retail products & promotion of Shoup’s special events
- Processing and managing supplies for mail order and UPS shipping
- Working with Marketing Director to develop new sales marketing ideas and programs/weekly specials
- Featured on our sign, ads, website, & Facebook
- Become proficient in meat cuts & cooking
- Decorating and creative set-ups for all seasons inside and out of our store
- Cleaning and maintaining an organized inviting store front which includes:
Sweeping floors, dusting shelves, washing the front door/freezer windows
Wiping dried blood from beneath ground beef in the front freezer
Filing/maintaining paperwork and records
- Performing and reporting a monthly meat inventory of the front freezer
- Daily cash register transactions and balancing out at day end
- Operating and batching credit card, gift card, & food stamp machines
- Carrying and assisting customers with purchases of products from our store
- Set up tastings of Shoup’s products on Fridays or Saturdays
- Coordinate with the kitchen on available food items to be sold in store left from catering surplus
- Planting, watering & caring for flowers in front of store
- Coordinate with office manager for office supplies
- Maintain and promoting Shoup's recipes and point of sale material specials
- Collecting and tracking coupons
- Running Quarterly Reports off cash registers and monitoring sales in spreadsheets

Skills Preferred:
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Publisher, Excel, and Word
- Outgoing personality and customer service skills
- Motivated individual that is a self-starter
