The Inventory Planner will be responsible for end-to-end inventory management of assigned product lines. This includes demand planning using experience and judgement in conjunction with working with sales, project managers and customer service to understand demand patterns and update system parameters including EOQ, reorder points and forecasts appropriately. In addition, full responsibility for supply plan and inventory management process resides with this role. This includes placement of orders, shipment, and delivery updates.

  • Manages and tracks to key metrics such as inventory turns and fill rate
  • Facilitates meetings with sales and other internal stakeholders regarding larger accounts to ensure correct demand and supply plans are in place based on usage
  • Conducts root cause analysis on inventory and/or service failures and provides corrective action as needed
  • Meet with key suppliers when needed to ensure supply plan is being met
  • Identifies potential product shortages or over inventory situations and implements corrective measures
  • Develops demand and supply plan for assigned product lines across network
  • Coordinate with category sourcing specialist on minimum order quantities and cost that helps manage our inventory turns
  • Maintains all master data on a consistent basis
  • Standards are being always adhered to
  • Review and update all stocking agreements as necessary
  • Consistently keeps management and key stakeholders informed of all potential issues
  • Thoroughly understands total cost of ownership of items
  • Provide support when escalations arise regarding suppliers shipping, packaging, and label requirements
  • Involved in cost-to-carry monthly division call
  • Other duties may be assigned

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE OR SKILLS

  • College graduate with supply chain or packaging degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of SXe and elements within (preferred)
  • Ability teaches and train associates on best practices and/or new technology that unfolds
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite; PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
  • Smart Sheets a plus
