Shoreline Manufacturing is Hiring a Fabricator Near Holland, MI

Definition

Responsible for fitting and welding of steel, aluminum and stainless steel parts using a MIG and/or TIG process. Also required to perform other miscellaneous tasks assigned by the Project Manager.

Full Time Position. Mon - FRI. 1st Shift only (7-3 PM). Comfortable work enviroment with air conditioning. Small Buisness. 1/2 hour paid lunches.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a Welding Procedure Specification
  • Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements
  • TIG weld steel, aluminum and stainless steel components based on the specifications of the blueprints and/or drawings
  • Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
  • Follow all safety rules and quality standards
  • Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and training preferred
  • Experience with drill press, shearing, lathe, bandsaw and brake press highly preferred
  • Experience with steel, aluminum and/or stainless steel is preferred
  • 4 years of experience with TIG welding highly preferred
  • Ability to lift heavy items up to 60 pounds consistently
  • Ability to identify and measure material
  • Willingness to learn and have a dependable work ethic
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, calipers, tape measures and angle gauges
  • Ability to stand continuously for long periods of time
