Shore United Bank is seeking a BSA Analyst I to join our team. This position is primarily responsible for supporting the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti Money Laundering (AML) functions within the organization, as it specifically relates to higher risk customers, products and services.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain an accurate list of higher risk customers by means of various reports, software programs and internal communications
- Utilize internal software programs to conduct ongoing reviews of higher risk customers including marijuana-related businesses and CTR exemptions
- Conduct thorough investigations of higher risk activity, as well as assist with ongoing monthly reviews for suspicious activity through automated BSA software
- Use monitoring systems and reports to review for reportable currency transactions to be filed by the BSA Officer
- Complete SARs approved by the SAR Committee to be filed by the BSA Officer
- Participate in compliance training and continuing education programs to maintain proficiency with laws and regulations
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- 2 years' of direct BSA experience OR 2-4 years' experience in bank/credit union
- Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification preferred, but not required
