Purpose
Main responsibilities are to pull, order, and deliver parts for service technicians. Assist with warehouse procedures including checking in freight/pulling transfers and filling in on the retail parts counter when needed.
Responsibilities
● Works as a go-between between parts and service departments to provide the right part, at the right time, in the right quantity and in good condition
● Works to ensure that technicians have what they need, when they need it so that they are as efficient as possible.
● Monitors customer traffic, work orders, warranty activity and Aftermarket promotions to anticipate and make available these parts for the service department
● Verifies receipting-in of shipments and assists with placing Machine Down and Stock Orders to meet the Service Department’s needs
● Monitors progress of all parts needs on all work orders for the service department
● Helps to keep parts department clean and orderly and put up stock when available
● Follows up on shortages and expedites issues by communicating to the Service Manager and Parts Manager
● Monitors and manages all returned unused parts, warranty parts, and parts cores
● Assists in maintaining all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles
● Will work in both office and shop environments
● Keeps area clean and free of clutter—including parts tech staging areas
● Rotates on call during designated seasons
● Routinely lifts items weighting up to 50 lbs
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge
● High School diploma or equivalent experience
● Demonstrated basic understanding of parts and agricultural equipment
● Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a degree of independence
● Computer experience and ability to learn new software quickly is required
● Must have track record or excellent organization and communication skills
