Shook Property Management, Greater Lafayette's fastest growing property management company, is seeking energetic and reliable individuals to join our growing team. Shook Property Management is a "one-stop shop" for all property management needs, including residential and commercial management, maintenance, housekeeping and janitorial services, marketing and advertising, budgeting, and much more.

Shook PM is looking for an experienced residential and commercial maintenance technician to help accommodate our growing portfolio. The ideal candidate would be self-driven, ambitious, engaged, reliable, and have high attention to detail on their work.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Reliable transportation and driver's license required
- Cell phone required for our software and photo documentation
- Candidates should have basic tool sets or other items needed to complete work - some tools may be provided
- Candidates must be able to pass both a drug screening and background check
- Candidates are required to have physical strength that allows them to climb ladders and stairs, walk, knee, stand, squat, twist, bend, and lifting items that may weigh more than 25 pounds
- Basic knowledge and understanding of maintenance issues is required
- Candidates must open to change and multi-task in a fast paced work environment
- Experience with drywall, painting, caulking, and grouting
- Experience with other residential maintenance items, such as appliances, faucets, doors, windows, door locks, and minor electrical issues
- Experience with HVAC systems is strongly preferred, but not required
- Any trade skill certification is strongly preferred
- Candidates should be able to present themselves well, respect tenant's rights and privacy when in their residence, and be able to communicate effectively and efficiently

In property management, no day is ever the same. Our maintenance technicians can work with a variety of items and issues, but a typical day's work can include, but is not limited to:
- Completing either residential or commercial maintenance issues in a timely manner, while communicating with the tenant or owner
- Ensuring high quality work while maintaining our high standards
- Completing the work requests in a timely manner

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
