Sholom Community Alliance is Hiring an Occupational Therapist, Registered OTR Near Paul, MN

The Registered Occupational therapist (OTR) assists clients to improve their ability to perform daily living tasks, basic motor functions and cognitive abilities.

Primary Responsibilities
1) Provide evaluation and treatment of various diagnoses/disorders in accordance with physician orders, working directly with clients and caregivers to offer assessment and instruction.
2) Collaborate with the IDT (interdisciplinary team) to ensure appropriate flow of services.
3) Supervise, contribute to performance appraisals, and delegate work assignments for Certified Occupational Therapists Assistance (COTAs) and Occupational Therapy Students.
4) Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory and organization requirements, completing discharge documentation as directed. 
5) Maintain up-to-date programs and techniques to enhance occupational therapy services provided.
6) Support various other Rehab responsibilities as needed. 

Job Specifications 
Education, Experience and Credentials
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school in Occupational Therapy required.
• One or more years hands-on experience working with a geriatric population preferred.
• Must be licensed with the State of Minnesota as an Occupational Therapist and must maintain licensure.
• Must be registered with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• CPR/First Aid certified through American Red Cross required.
