Shoemaker Financial is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and sales-minded Certified Financial Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate possesses a passion for creating financial plans tailored to clients’ unique needs and goals. Additionally, candidates will possess a strong understanding of financial planning practices and technology, excellent analytical skills, a commitment to customer service, and proven industry experience.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to assess clients’ financial situations and develop personalized financial plans.
  • Collaborate with advisors and clients to establish realistic financial goals and develop actionable plans to achieve those goals. Monitor and adjust those strategies to align with changing goals or circumstances.
  • Provide expert guidance on investment strategies, retirement planning, tax optimization, estate planning, insurance, and other financial matters.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, economic changes, and other factors to provide clients with the most relevant and up-to-date advice.
  • Teach financial advisors how to present and discuss financial plans with clients. Build and maintain strong relationships through regular communication and exceptional service.
  • Read and understand financial statements and documents.
  • Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.
  • Other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field. CFP® preferred or must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
  • Proven experience in financial planning, wealth management, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning concepts, investment products, and tax and retirement strategies.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively to advisors and clients.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including the ability to quickly learn financial planning software.
  • Detail-oriented, committed to accuracy, and able to manage/prioritize workload effectively.
  • Strong ethical standards with the ability to build rapport and trust with advisors and clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
