You'll contribute to a variety of key functions, getting a rich, in-depth look at store level reporting and budgets within a retail giant. The department of Financial Planning and Analysis conducts quantitative analyses of information affecting budgets, expenses, and other financial projects using consolidated data from various departments to provide an overview of the financial status of operations. The Financial Analyst I participates in collection, production and

delivery of these analyses.

  • Following established processes, runs calculations, creates reports, and analyzes detailed store level financial reports.
  • Assists with the store level expense budget process.
  • Prepares budget reports/analysis for Department Heads and Store Management.
  • Completes ad hoc analysis for various departments related to cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  • Runs the store level sales planning process using sales/margin/inventory planning software.
  • Partners with Management to build out and produce reports, work papers and various forms using BI360 Accounting Software.
  • Prepares standard monthly reports on store-level financial performance combining actual performance metrics and other non-accounting source data.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • Experience working within an accounting department preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access) required, and experience working in accounting software packages (BI360) preferred.
  • Self-motivated, works well independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills required.
  • Strong organizational and both written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to prioritize, remain flexible as business needs change and adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly understand, perform, and retain various job related training and procedures.
