The Role

Our Business Planner will drive strategic initiatives and support the development of long-term growth plans and profitability goals. The right candidate will have experience with forecasting and inventory management, as well as strong reporting and analysis skills. We are looking for someone eager to learn and willing to go the extra mile. In this role you must be organized, detailed/task-oriented, and flexible.

This position collaborates heavily with multiple teams to achieve our financial and company goals. At SP we have a strong culture of teamwork where it is about collective gain.

100% In - Office 

Here’s what a day at work may look like…

• Identify, analyze, and recommend opportunities, actions, and recommendations through hindsight reporting.
• Enter sales budgets, line, and season into Inventory system (APTOS or similar systems).
• Develop assortment plans.
• Assist in managing key metrics (sales, returns, markdowns/on order, and margins).
• Consolidate and communicate final seasonal forecast to appropriate departments - Build relationships with departments across the company.
• Communicate complex information in simple to understand yet actionable ways.
• Facilitate vendor negotiations by equipping the Buying Team with all necessary data, models, scenario mockups, and analysis.
• Ad hoc analysis and projects based on business needs.

About you…

• 3-5 years of planning/merchandising experience
• Project management experience and excellent quantitative skills
• The right balance of creative and analytical thinking
• Database utilization and functionality skills
• Self-motivated, passionate, and humble
• Computer Savvy (Excel Guru)
• Comfortable with trend analysis and problem-solving skills
