Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Administer medications according to prescribed guidelines
- Implement behavior support plans and strategies
- Assist with data collection and documentation
- Communicate effectively with individuals, their families, and other team members
- Collaborate with social workers and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a similar caregiving role
- Knowledge of American Sign Language is a plus
- Ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect privacy rights
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules
