Job Overview: We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Community Habilitation Positions. In this role, you will provide support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them to live independently and actively participate in their communities. Responsibilities: - Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration - Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors - Support individuals in developing and maintaining social skills and relationships within their community - Provide transportation and accompany individuals to appointments, recreational activities, and community events - Collect data on individual progress and behavior for documentation purposes - Collaborate with other members of the support team to develop and implement individualized care plans Experience: - Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred - Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) is a plus - Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies - Ability to effectively communicate and interact with individuals with diverse needs - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for transporting individuals - Experience in data collection and documentation is beneficial - Previous experience in childcare or working with people with developmental disabilities is advantageous At our organization, we offer competitive compensation, ongoing training opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
