Shisa, Corporation currently operates a 34-bed community release center, Shisa House West, in Tallahassee since 1999. Under contract with The State of Florida, Department of Corrections, Shisa House West is a Community Release Center (CRC) serving female inmates.

The Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced assistant to Facilty Director for our 34-bed facility. The Assistant Center Director will be responsible for assisting in the management of all aspects of the center, including facilities management, maintenance, and project management. This is a leadership role that requires organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage staff. The Center Director maintains responsibility for the overall operation of Shisa House West ensuring that all contractual requirements pertaining to the facility operation and inmates entrusted therein are met.

Duties:
- Assist in the daily operations of the center
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Coordinate with staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff members

- Responsible for custody of female inmates while housed at Shisa House West

- Oversees employer partnership with Shisa House West for inmate job placement

- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (preferred)
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to effectively manage a team and provide leadership
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
