Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with local and national electrical codes
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems
- Install and troubleshoot electrical components, such as motors, transformers, switches, circuit breakers, and control panels
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes
- Inspect electrical systems and equipment for any defects or hazards and make necessary repairs or replacements
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure electrical systems are properly integrated into overall building plans
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to all safety regulations while performing electrical work
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, logic controllers, and high voltage applications
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical diagrams to determine the layout of electrical wiring
- Familiarity with power tools and equipment used in the trade
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects within specified timelines
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in various environments including confined spaces, heights, and outdoor conditions
- Valid driver's license
