Shipton's Big R is a Farm/Ranch retail company that has been in business for 75 years and counting! We are seeking a Full-time Sporting Goods Sales Associate for our Billings west-end store.

Job Responsibilities

• Customer Service – Must greet every sporting goods customer that you come in contact with. Responsible for answering sporting goods customer questions or finding another associate who can answer them. Must be willing and able to carry the customers merchandise to their vehicle.
• Product Knowledge – Continually make an effort to gain sporting goods product knowledge on a daily basis by accessing our Learning Management System.
• Salesmanship – Start with customer service as defined above and include upsell and ad-on sales techniques.
• Cleaning – Shared Responsibility for cleanliness of your department including dusting and facing product.
• Merchandising – Responsible for product presentation, stocking, scanner tagging, and signage.
• Signage – Make display signs by following Shipton’s Big R sign program.
• Responsible for floating between departments as directed by your supervisor.
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Must have the ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers through normal social skills.
• Must be able to read and interpret basic information.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, lift up to 50 pounds and stand for an extended period of time.
• Must be able to work with and around the products we carry including.
• Must be able to work any store hours/days as dictated by their manager.
• Computer skills with the ability to search the internet.
