Position Summary

This position is responsible for developing and supporting software that aligns with user needs. Manage projects from infancy to completion, collaborating with other team members and executing strategies.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with a small team to develop new software and/or support existing software
  • Use Team Foundation Server to track changes made to code between users and work items
  • Communicate via email or phone with coworkers and clients on projects
  • Document processes and code changes for version releases
  • Work with the Product team to define the scope included in a release
  • Research and clarify details as the team develops the application
  • Be aware of customer commitments and communicate timelines internally to assist with managing those commitments
  • Work with the Agile team to prioritize the backlog
  • Prioritize support work as needed
  • Manage dependencies in and across sprints and releases
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle
  • In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies, technical understanding of products, and up to date on industry standards and best practices
  • Have a constant focus on solving user problems in the best way possible
  • Strong knowledge of current industry trends and User Interface common practices
  • Ability to influence cross-functional team without formal authority

  • SQL
  • 2 years job experience as a software engineer / 1-2 years help desk experience
  • Self-starter

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to sit and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.
